The Proposed Vacation Rental Ordinance: “Why It’s Needed in Live Oak Neighborhoods”

“As more homes in our coastal area become vacation rentals, it impacts the quality of life for people who live here, creating concerns about neighborhood integrity, loss of rental housing for local residents, and increased rents.
The County Board of Supervisors will soon consider a proposed ordinance that puts some limits on how vacation rentals operate in our residential neighborhoods. Come find out about the proposed ordinance and why people who live in neighborhoods with lots of vacation rentals believe that something has to be done.”
