Keith and Richard will arrange a meeting with local coastal staff to tour the Opal Cliff’s beach. We are hopeful of getting some feedback for moving forward on a regional solution for Opal Cliffs.
A discussion was held about changing this year’s annual meeting towards more of a social event in order to promote a larger attendance and more participation in our organization. The timing would most likely be in September or October.
SB 1295 and participation in the PLF brief were discussed. It was concluded that the PLF brief focused on an issue that was outside of our mission statement. We will therefore decline to participate in the brief.
Jim Marshall will poll the First District Supervisor candidates to determine the ones that share our mission in protecting homes, businesses and public property from coastal erosion. This information will then be passed on to our membership so that they may be better informed voters.
